WHITEHORSE OUTDOOR TRADING EQUIPMENT FUND
IMPORTANT: Please read information below to assist you in completing your application online.
BEFORE STARTING A SUBMISSION PLEASE CHECK YOUR ELIGIBILITY
- Has an active Australian Business Number (ABN)
- Has Public Liability Insurance of at least $10M
- Will provide a map of the area (drawing) of their intentions noting the number of tables and chairs, umbrellas, pot plants, barriers etc.
- Has a current Footpath Trading Permit
- If business wishes to extend past their property boundary, written consent from the impacted business and a Footpath Trading permit to include the extended area, will be required.
- Provide quotes including all associated costs. Further information may be requested by council officers.
- Demonstrate how the funding will benefit the business, other immediate local businesses and the precinct as a whole.
- Has successfully acquitted any grant received through the Whitehorse City Council Business Recovery Grants.
- Is a sole trader or a small to medium sized business employing fewer than 20 full time employees [or equivalent part time] at the time of application or have a maximum turnover of $10 million per annum.
- Business is located within the City of Whitehorse and has been trading in the City of Whitehorse for 6 months or more as at 1 January 2022.
- Has all appropriate insurances, licences and permits for the current business operation including liquor licence for outdoor trading, if applicable.
- At the end of the program all successful grant applicants will be required to complete an acquittal or discharge form, including providing evidence of expenditure such as receipts. If no proof is provided or there is evidence that the grant has not been spent for the purpose it was awarded, Council may request the return of the grant monies.
Applications for equipment already purchased will not be accepted.

- On every screen (page of the form) you will find a Form Navigation contents box, this links directly to every page of the application. Click the link to jump directly to the page you want.
- You can also click 'next page' or 'previous page' on the top or bottom of each page to move forward or backward through the application.
SAVING YOUR DRAFT APPLICATION
- If you wish to leave a partially completed application, press 'save and close' and log out. When you log back in, click on ‘my applications’ at the top of the screen to find your form.
- You can also download any application, whether draft or completed, as a PDF. Click on the 'Download PDF' button located at the bottom of the last page of the application form.
SUBMITTING YOUR APPLICATION
- Review your information. You will not be able to submit until all the compulsory questions are completed.
- Press ‘submit’ once you have reviewed and you are happy with your information. Once you have submitted, no further editing or uploading of support materials is possible.
- You will receive a confirmation email with a copy of your submitted information. This will be sent to the email you used to register
- If you do not receive a confirmation email then your form has not been received and you may not have pressed the ‘submit’ button. Check spam or junk folder.
ATTACHMENTS AND SUPPORT DOCUMENTS
- You will need to upload/submit attachments to support your application. This is very simple, but requires you to have the documents saved on your computer, or on a storage device. We encourage you to preview the form and ensure you have all required documentation saved to your computer so that it can easily be uploaded.
- You need to allow enough time for each file to upload before trying to attach another file. Files can be up to 25MB each; however, we do recommend trying to keep files to a maximum of 5MB – the larger the file, the longer the upload time.
COMPLETING AN APPLICATION IN A GROUP/TEAM
- A number of people can work on an application using the same log in details as long as only one person is working at a time. Ensure you save as you go.
